It’s a devilish month!

PS Plus Extra and Premium games announced for January 2023

The first PS Plus Extra and Premium games of the year have been announced for January 2023, and it’s another great month.

As always, across all three subscription tiers, we have video games spanning multiple PlayStation generations, offering a little something for everyone. Perhaps the two highlights for January 2023 are Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition as well as Back 4 Blood.

Back 4 Blood from Turtle Rock Studios, the team behind the Left 4 Dead series could greatly benefit from the PS Plus inclusion. There was a lot of hype for this game prior to release, but at least according to SteamDB, player numbers have dwindled.

Moreover, the data on SteamDB states that Back 4 Blood has an all-time concurrent player peak of 65, 987. However, more recent data is a lot less. What’s more, at the time of writing, Back 4 Blood has a 24-hour peak of 5,921. However, its concurrent player number right now is 2,527.

So with its inclusion on PS Plus, and with it being a cross-play title across PC, PlayStation and Xbox, hopefully, those concurrent player numbers will have a little boost.
