Is Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Coming Soon To Xbox Game Pass?

Due to what could be a computer glitch, or human error, it looks like Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will soon head to Game Pass. The game was briefly listed on the Xbox Store in an update last week, although was subsequently removed by Xbox.

Originally reported by VGC, and spotted by Polish site XGP, the early leak certainly suggests the remaster is heading to Game Pass and EA Play in the near future. The remaster, which launched earlier this year, features all three games from the original trilogy with reworked visuals and updated gameplay.

The last major Mass Effect release, Andromeda, has been available on EA Play for some time. If the rumours were true, this could mean the entire Mass Effect series could be playable on Game Pass. Of course, the originals are also available on there too. But Legendary Edition is a newer entry that is more accessible to newcomers.

There are no details available on whether Legendary Edition will be available on both console and PC, but you can likely expect details to release soon.

Games released through EA’s subscription service are also available on Microsoft Game Pass. Microsoft introduced the joint venture to console players at the end of 2020, before bringing EA Play to PC Game Pass earlier this year. The additional service is available at no extra cost to Game Pass subscribers.

Microsoft also recently added a free YouTube Premium perk to it’s Game Pass service. Those subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate can claim a free three-month trial, which typically costs £11.99 a month.
