The Haligtree Medallion in Elden Ring is in two halves due to the game promoting easy key item finds throughout the game. Whilst our sarcasm game is strong, the difficulty in finding both halves is stronger.

A Game Of Two Halves – The Haligtree Medallion in elden ring
The first half of the Medallion is actually quite easy to find all joking aside. Pop over to the Village of Albinaurics that can be found sitting under the cliffs in Southern Liurnia. After walking up to the town they’ll be a foe playing the flute next to a pile of bodies and a sarcophagus. Smashing open the pot next to the Sarcophagus will summon an old man who will beg a player to take the Medallion half for safekeeping.
The second half of the Haligtree Medallion in Elden Ring can be found in Castle Sol at the most northern point of the Mountaintops of the Giants. To get there players will need to battle through a handful of graveyards alongside a giant skeleton gauntlet. Players will need to keep an eye out for the giant walking temple that hangs out just outside of Castle Sol, which should make it quite easy to find.
Commander Niall – The Haligtree Medallion in elden ring
Commander Niall will be waiting for players as the last test before attaining the second half of the Haligtree Medallion. He’ll be summoning two soldiers before he goes on the offensive, so using some of those Spirit Ashes to summon a friendly NPC would be wise here. Make sure to kill the dual-wielding offensive soldier first then go for the shield-bearing chap second. Alternatively, we recommend using Bewitching Branches to turn the soldiers against Niall.
After defeating the soldiers, Commander Niall will come at players with Frost area of effect attacks and Lightning damage, which will make this tricky for strictly melee character builds. Once the boss fight is complete, players will need to make their way to the top of the fort to attain the second part of the medallion.
To use the Haligtree Medallion, head back to the Grand Lift of Rold and use the prompt that allows you to hoist the secret medallion to head to a new area.
