Unfortunately, not that colosseum.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Get Colosseum Mode For Pokemon Day

As part of the leadup to Pokemon Day, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are both getting the Colosseum feature in a new update.

This coming Sunday, February 27, is Pokemon Day, a little celebration that happens every year on the anniversary of the original games. And in the buildup to it, a series of announcements have been coming out from Nintendo. And one of the biggest announcements is the much anticipated Colosseum feature coming to BDSP. The new feature lets you battle other trainers with custom rule sets once you have updated the game.

If you are wondering where the Colosseum feature is, just head to the second floor of any Pokemon Centre. With the feature, you can decide how many Pokemon are allowed, what levels they are, and if they are single, double, or multi battles. And this is available both locally and online.

As well as the new feature, Union Rooms have some updates. You can have more players in one room, and you can show off your trainer card or capsule decorations. And some bugs have been fixed like no longer being able to trade or battle Pokemon that were “acquired via unintended methods or illicit modification.”

The Colosseum update isn’t the only thing that has been announced. Hoopa is being added to Pokemon Unite, alongside a new quick battle type called Full-fury battles. And the Pokemon Center is teaming up with fashion brand Omocat for some unique clothing.
