What else do we know about the card set and how is it changing MTG: Arena? Well, this is what we were told in the most recent press release about the card set:

The set is heralded by iconic Dungeons & Dragons creatures and characters like the legendary god of dragons Tiamat, Gelatinous Cubes or the iconic hero Drizzt Do’Urden. It brings three brand new mechanics that capture the Dungeons & Dragons experience in full:

  • Venture into the Dungeon
Allows players to explore three iconic dungeons; The Tomb Of Annihilation, Lost Mines of Phandelver, and Dungeon of the Mad Mage, triggering a new ability each time they do.
  • Class Enchantments
A new type of enchantment that lets players take on class abilities, providing a resource that can activate on the trigger or stay through the game.
  • Roll A D20
What Dungeons & Dragons adaptation doesn’t include Dice Rolling? Many cards in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms will ask players to roll a twenty-sided dice, with better results the better the roll.

How Many cards Are There?

In Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, there are 327 new cards introduced. Some cards will also encourage players to roll a D20. Because what’s D&D without dice? You can view the complete card gallery over on the Magic: The Gathering website.
