The PlayStation Plus version of Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4 will soon be getting a free PS5 upgrade this week.
Earlier this year the Final Fantasy VII Remake was one of the biggest games to come to PlayStation Plus in 2021. This was the PS4 version of the game and with a PS5 upgrade on the horizon, it was an ideal time for fans to see the benefits of the new-gen upgrade.
However, while those that owned the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake would see the benefits of the PS5 upgrade, PS Plus owners would not see that benefit. This was because the PS Plus version of FFVII Remake was not eligible for the new-gen upgrade.
Thankfully, that will no longer be the case, because those that picked up the PS Plus version of FFVII Remake will finally be getting that PS5 upgrade for free this week.
Announced on the Final Fantasy social media pages, the free upgrade arrives on Wednesday, December 22nd. Furthermore, you will also be able to pick up the extra chapter DLC “INTERmission” starring Yuffie Kisaragi with a 25% discount.

In related Final Fantasy VII Remake news, Cloud’s adventure finally came to PC ending nearly two years of PlayStation exclusivity. However, that is not all, because Final Fantasy VII Remake fans might be treated to some new DLC. Rejoice!
