Rockstar Games has finally confirmed that GTA 6 is in production in a new statement published on the publisher’s website.
GTA 6 has been long rumoured for a while now, with leaks and whispers going back many years. However, we finally have official confirmation that GTA 6 exists.
The update came in a blog post titled “Grand Theft Auto Community Update” which also included details for upcoming GTA 5 content. However, a small footnote at the end of the post reads as follows:
“With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered — and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.”
So there you have it, GTA 6 is officially confirmed to be in production by Rockstar. It’s weird that it was popped in a small casual paragraph at the bottom. But regardless, it’s great to know the game is finally on the way.
