Gobo has answered the call!

Redfall and Hogwarts developer joins Guerrilla Games

Redfall and Hogwarts Legacy co-developer, Studio Gobo has joined Guerrilla Games to work on future Horizon titles and perhaps more.

Studio Gobo is a development team that specialises in lending a helping hand to more well-known and established studios on AAA projects. So far, Studio Gobo has helped Arkane with Redfall as well as Avalanche Software on Hogwarts Legacy.

From Redfall to Guerrilla Games, help is on the horizon

However, Studio Gobo will now be lending its services to Guerrilla Games to work on future titles in the series for PlayStation. However, I would like to think that we’ll get a new Killzone game one day.

We’re thrilled to share that Studio Gobo is now a Guerrilla co-development partner on the Horizon universe,” tweeted Gobo Studio. “We’re currently filling roles on this and other teams.

In the coming months, Guerrilla Games will certainly have its hands full. Not only will it still be supporting Horizon Forbidden West with future updates but we also have its expansion, Burning Shores to look forward to.

What’s more, we also have Horizon: Call of the Mountain for PSVR2, not to mention the Horizon multiplayer spin-off. If that multiplayer spin-off is the rumoured MMO, Guerrilla Games will certainly require all hands on deck. So it would be safe to assume that Studio Gobo will at least be helping on one of those projects.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain is a PSVR2 launch title arriving on February 22nd, while Burning Shores arrives for PS5 on April 19th. The multiplayer spin-off currently does not have a launch window.
