At the Capcom Showcase event, it was revealed that Resident Evil Village will be getting some DLC. Eventually.
It’s not known what kind of DLC Resident Evil Village will be receiving, but hopefully, Capcom will reveal all in the coming months.
Resident Evil 7 received some fun DLC with the Banned Footage, which set the players in various scenarios, usually having to escape the clutches of the sinister Baker family.
RE7 also received some story DLC with the End of Zoe and Not a Hero, which expanded on the story from the main campaign. Not a Hero was also free DLC, so it would be great to see if Capcom might do the same with RE Village.
At this time Capcom didn’t show off any gameplay, details, or a release date. We simply got an announcement that RE Village will eventually get some DLC. We’ll of course keep you posted as soon as we learn more.
In our review of Resident Evil Village, we said: “Resident Evil Village takes elements of what worked well in previous games, but also evolves them into something new for the series. The game provides moments of genuine horror, but will still entice you to come back for more, even if it’s to just be chased by Lady Dimitrescu. To put it simply, barring remakes, Resident Evil Village is the best entry in the series since Resident Evil 4.”
We also found out that Re:Verse, which comes bundled with Resident Evil Village, will release next month, although a definite release date is still to be confirmed. Re:Verse was meant to launch alongside Village but it was delayed so Capcom could give it a bit more TLC. Time will tell how much the delay has helped the game.
