The newly announced multiplayer co-op shooter ‘The Anacrusis’ looks like Left 4 Dead, set in space. Groovy!
Developed by Stray Bombay, The Anacrusis will be the studio’s first game. It’s described as being “an infinitely-replayable first-person shooter”.
Judging by the reveal trailer, I can certainly see the Left 4 Dead influence. It’s a bit more colourful, granted. And yeah, did I mention set in space?
What is The Anacrusis?
According to a press release:
“The Anacrusis is a four-player, cooperative first-person shooter set aboard a massive starship stranded at the edge of explored space. Team up with your friends in an infinitely-replayable fight against alien hordes to unlock perks, weapons, and new ways to play that you can share with your team!”
Of course, with this being an online multiplayer shooter, online player numbers are going to be vital. Who will you be playing with?
As I mentioned, The Anacrusis is Stray Bombay’s first game. Thankfully, the developers are giving the game the best possible chance. The game will have cross-play between all platforms at launch. Xbox fans will also be glad to hear that it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass!
